Charles, Prince of Wales (Charles Philip Arthur George; born 14 November 1948) is the heir apparent to the British throne as the eldest son of Elizabeth II. He has been Duke of Cornwall and Duke of Rothesay since 1952, and he is the oldest and longest-serving heir apparent in British history.
He is also the longest-serving Prince of Wales, having held that title since 1958. Charles was born at Buckingham Palace as the first grandchild of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. He was educated at Cheam and Gordonstoun schools, which his father, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, had attended as a child. Charles also spent a year at the Timbertop campus of Geelong Grammar School in Victoria, Australia.
The Crown , Princess Diana's first appearance is a powerful one. The 16-year-old, then known as Lady Diana Spencer, is dressed in leaves and green tights for her role in a high school production of A Midsummer's Night Dream.
She's easy to miss as she scuttles from one corner to the next, despite the fact she's in an empty ballroom of the sprawling Althorp House, her childhood estate.
And she's hiding from the man who will later become her husband: Prince Charles. “Please don’t [say] you saw me,” she pleads with him. “I’ll get into terrible trouble.
She doesn’t want me to scare you off.”She is Sarah Spencer, Diana's older sister that Charles was taking out on an afternoon date.
