Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer-songwriter. She is known for narrative songs about her personal life, which have received widespread media coverage. At age 14, Swift became the youngest artist signed by the Sony/ATV Music publishing house and, at 15, she signed her first record deal.

Her 2006 eponymous debut album was the longest-charting album of the 2000s in the US. Its third single, "Our Song", made her the youngest person to single-handedly write and perform a number-one song on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Swift's second album, Fearless, was released in 2008.

Buoyed by the pop crossover success of the singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me", it became the US' best-selling album of 2009 and was certified diamond in the US. The album won four Grammy Awards, and Swift became the youngest Album of the Year winner.

Taylor Swift fans have been left reeling after received an email on Wednesday saying resale tickets were live on website AXS at over £800 - despite organisers promising fair sales at face value prices to avoid scammers.It comes as the US star has been blasted by some fans as being "greedy" over the costs of the ticket prices for her highly-anticipated summer tour next year across the UK, with many Swfites being forced to miss out due to the eye-watering cost.Taylor Swift will be taking to the stage in venues in London, Liverpool, Cardiff and Edinburgh, with AXS revealing last week that there would be an opportunity to resell unwanted tickets, but only via official partners (Ticketmaster and AXS) or the venue website.Some fans decided to wait in the queue to nab some of the tickets that had gone on resale, after the original ticket sales launched on July 10 but sold out in minutes for each of the ten dates.But the cost prevented the majority of people from being able to get a second chance at watching her show, with the Edinburgh gig showing astronomical prices for her dates on the 7th, 8th and 9th of June in the capital city.Taylor's first show at BT Murrayfield on June 7 was coming in the most expensive at £818 for the 'It's Been A Long Time Coming' package (originally £661 pp), with even the cheapest seats in the house on the same date for the PL3 seats still over £135.Her Saturday performance on June 8 was no better with the highest priced tickets going for £700, with the same package costing over £787 and the cheapest bog standard seats retailing at £135 (was £109pp).Sunday, June 9, which will be her final show in Scotland's capital city, would also cost £135 for a general admission standing ticket and even the
