A stunning new memorial bench and commemorative stone have been unveiled at Birkhill Cemetery. The installation is part of the city’s efforts to mark this year’s To Absent Friends Week.
The quiet space offers an area to the bereaved to remember those that they have loved and lost within the cemetery’s grounds.
To Absent Friends Week takes place during the first week of November every year to encourage people to remember, share stories, celebrate and reminisce about loved ones who have died.The bench and stone were arranged through a collaboration between Dundee City Council and independent charity, Funeral Link.Councillor Anne Rendall, said: “It is important for everybody who has suffered a bereavement to have a place where they can go
