Students may be told they have to live in a "bubble" with fellow course mates when campuses reopen in the autumn. It is something universities are considering in a bid to limit social mixing when the university year begins in a few months time.
A series of proposals for easing out of lockdown safely have been unveiled by university leaders. Students arriving at university for the first time could be faced with a virtual freshers' week events, with fewer large-scale lectures and one-way systems across campus in a bid to keep them safe.
