The Homes Under The Hammer frontman, 57, told the first of two ITV episodes he was having to battle "a lot of stuff right now" as the celebrity team prepared to rehearse.
Martin opened up on the "internal emotions" that centred around his friend Dave's passing from bowel cancer. Referring to his pal as the "brother I never had" he opened up and said: "I don't want to be too dramatic but I'm actually really emotional. “As a child I was fat and I was bullied all the way throughout school. “It takes a lot to get over that body image thing and there's no way in a million years I'd be doing this if it wasn't for doing it in.
