That is according to the majority of people responding to a survey by Manchester council which is seeking views on the appropriateness of existing monuments.

The review, titled Histories, Stories and Voices in Manchester’s Public Realm, will shape the local authority’s policy on what types of artworks will be commissioned in the future.
