SPFL call for Covid contingency plans as they urge member clubs to avoid civil war repeat

SPFL have written to clubs in a bid to put contingency plans in place in the event the league can't be finished because of coronavirus.

The league was called last season after football was shut down in March because of the pandemic and it caused a civil war within Scottish football.

Hearts, Partick Thistle and Stranraer were all relegated after clubs voted to call the season, with Celtic, Dundee United, Raith Rovers and Cove Rangers earning promotion.

Rangers demanded an inquiry into the SPFL that was rejected by clubs and now the governing body want to ensure there is no repeat of the trouble.
