Health secretary Jeane Freeman said that Scotland should hit its target of vaccinating 400,000 adults a week ahead of schedule this week.
But a drop in supplies caused by work being carried out Pfizer - a manufacturer of one of the approved vaccines in Scotland - means that the programme will be ‘scaled back a bit’.
Over 70s and clinically vulnerable individuals are currently being vaccinated against Covid-19. Officials will then move to give over 65s the jab next.It is hoped that individuals aged 16 to 64 with underlying health.
