Snow storm hits M77 as Ayrshire drivers report blizzard-like conditions

Ayrshire drivers have reported challenging driving conditions as snow batters the central belt this evening. The M77 has taken the brunt of blizzard-like conditions as a yellow weather warning remains in place across Scotland.Traffic Scotland cameras show that the snow storm has hit at Kingswell near Whitelee Wind Farm this evening.At Fenwick and Floak, conditions also look quite challenging.

Yesterday, weather experts revealed snow blizzards are being forecast to batter Ayrshire for 60 hours later this week. The Met Office say the cold front could bring up 30cm of snow when it hits Scotland between Friday at midnight and 12 noon on Sunday.And weather experts reckon that prolonged periods of snow and snow showers could bring significant.
