Grandads go, Paul McCartney takes some beating. And after chalking up an incredible 60 years in the music business, the Beatles legend is certainly not short of bedtime stories for his eight grandkids.

Two years ago Macca said his love of being a grandad to daughter Stella and Mary's children inspired him to release a picture book, called Hey Grandude.As well as the title being a play on one the Beatles' biggest hits Hey Jude, it was also inspired by the nickname Paul’s grandchildren had given him.“One day one of them said to me ‘Hey Grandude!’.

I said ‘What?’ and I thought, I kind of like that, so from then on I was kind of known as Grandude,” he says.Now the star's sequel Grandude’s Green Submarine is out today (THURS) which features more.
