Singapore is to start charging Covid-19 patients 'unvaccinated by choice' for healthcare services, the country's government has said.
Currently, the Singapore government is taking a 'special approach' to Covid medical bills, by paying them in full for all residents - unless they have tested positive after travelling overseas.
But unvaccinated people are making up 'a sizeable majority' of those needing medical care. So from Wednesday December 8, the government will be charging unvaccinated Covid-19 patients admitted to hospitals or community treatment facilities (CTFs).
