I’M A Celebrity viewers were left concerned about the show’s impact on the environment following the start of the series. The ITV hit series saw the celebrities arrive in individual cars before getting in helicopters – just to take part in the first challenge.

Those watching at home were not impressed and took to Twitter to question their carbon footprint. One person sarcastically wrote: “Good to see they’re saving the environment with helicopter sharing #ImACeleb.” Another tweeted:  “I understand they don't want them arriving together but why can't they arrive in electric cars?
