Scots woman subjected to brutal knife attack by ex who held her 'hostage' along with his own mother

A Scots man attempted to murder his ex-partner in a terrifying violent attack. Michael Nolan, held the woman and his own mother hostage at a property in Motherwell, telling her: “If I can’t have you no one can”.

The thug repeatedly stabbed his ex Shannon Inglis on the head and body with a knife and repeatedly assaulted her and his mum Linda Scallan before pointing the knife at them refusing to let them leave the house.

The 26-year-old admitted six charges when he appeared before Glasgow High Court including attempted murder of Shannon and the abduction of the two women.
