Tributes have poured in for Tyler Green after the Rangers-daft rapper passed away this morning. Tyler, from Govanhill, was part of the rap duo Triple01s and only revealed earlier this month he only had months to live after a shock cancer diagnosis.
In the Twitter video, he revealed he was first diagnosed with bone cancer in May last year but after 12 months of intensive chemotherapy, was informed it had spread to his lungs and there was nothing doctors could do.
Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos gave the drill duo his seal of approval last year after they released a song in his honour. They followed that up earlier this year by announcing they had signed a deal with Warner Records and filmed the video for their latest track, Ayo, at Ibrox Stadium.Tyler's passing was announced on Triple01s social media this morning with a photo of him in bed alongside the other half of the Triple01s duo Shakar, known as YSK.The post stated: "It is with great sadness that we announce Tyler passed peacefully with his closest loved ones by his side at 2:20am this morning."Surely, we belong to Allah and verily to him do we return.
RIP Tyler."A kid who touched every life he encountered in his journey through life, putting himself last before everyone he loved.
