Scots cleaner hailed 'diamond' for handing in cash-packed wallet lost by rugby fan

A Scots cleaner has been hailed a "diamond" for his honesty - after handing in an expensive wallet packed with cash. The Louis Vuitton moneybook had been left on an Avanti West Coast train by a rugby fan heading from Stafford to Edinburgh for Scotland's Six Nations clash at Murrayfield on Saturday.

The blue wallet was stuff full of £20 notes, along with two bank cards, and had been misplaced in the first class carriage.Glasgow Live reports it was discovered by Daniel Lindsay, a cleaner for Alstom, and handed into the Polmadie depot in Glasgow "with every penny in it".

His honest actions came to light after a friend of the rugby fan took to Twitter to try and find Daniel and thank him. The tweet, from Ross Hendry, read: "Please RT to find!
