Covid tests for travellers entering Scotland have been scrapped under a new set of travel rules as the Omicron surge slows down.
Fully vaccinated travellers heading into Scotland and England won't be required to take a Covid test after arriving, the Scottish Government has confirmed.
The major travel update was announced this evening in a reversal of rules enacted in December that is set to boost travel in time for half-term holidays.
Travel tests for vaccinated people will be dropped as of 4am on Friday, February 11.If you've booked a trip in the upcoming weeks, the changing travel rules are bound to raise more questions.Here's what you need to know.Regardless of vaccination status, everyone arriving into England and Scotland will still need to submit a Passenger Locator Form before travelling.Face coverings are still the rule across Scotland and this applies to airports too.Parents will want to know the rules for kids, and under these new rules, children under 18 are treated under the same rules as fully vaccinated adults.Until February 11, fully vaccinated travellers must take a lateral flow test on the second day after arriving.
