School remembers tragic Hamilton teen Amber Niven with poignant memorial garden

A garden created by school pupils in memory of tragic Hamilton teen Amber Niven has made it through to the final of a prestigious competition.Moore House Academy, in Bathgate, West Lothian, where Amber was a student, has paid tribute to the tragic pupil by designing a pocket garden in her honour.Now the school has made it through to the final of the Keep Scotland Beautiful Pocket Garden 2022 competition, where it will compete to be the winner against 44 other designs.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

We have renamed the story as ‘Amber in Wonderland’ in memory of our student, Amber, who was sadly taken from us last year. "Amber was a creative young woman and the children of Moore House are proud to have created this garden around her National 4 Art & Design water sculpture.
