Salford hotel selected to quarantine people returning from red list countries

Sign up to the MySalford newsletter and don't miss a thing happening in and around the city A hotel in Salford will be used to quarantine people returning to the UK from red list countries, it has been confirmed.

Everyone arriving in England from a red list country is required to quarantine for 10 full days in a managed quarantine hotel, or face fines of up to £10,000 and imprisonment.

The government says people should not travel to countries or territories which are on the red list, which currently includes Bangladesh, India and Pakistan.

Manchester Airport is not currently on the government-approved list of ports of entry from red list countries. The nearest approved airport is Birmingham.
