RUTH Langsford has said she worked hard for her This Morning role and didn't become successful through reality TV as she's replaced by former Big Brother star Alison Hammond.
The 60-year-old old and husband Eamonn Holmes were reportedly blindsided when ITV bosses decided their time hosting the Friday edition of the show was up.
The decision to replace them with Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary is said to have left them "furious". And in an interview in yesterday's Mirror Notebook, Ruth told how she grafted to get the role that she's had for the last 14 years.
She said: "We've put the work in. We didn't do a reality show and get an overnight job on the telly. We've come up through the ranks.
