Ruth Langsford
Ruth Langsford (born 17 March 1960 in Singapore) is an English television presenter of shows such as This Morning, Gift Wrapped and How the Other Half Lives. Langsford is an anchor on ITV's lunchtime chat show Loose Women and presents Ruth Langsford's Fashion Edit on QVC. She took part in the fifteenth series of Strictly Come Dancing, where she came ninth. She is currently the longest serving female presenter of This Morning. Ruth currently is more frequently known for her exclusive fashion collection, for British fashion label QVC. After being approached to curate a collection, Langsford signed a multi million pound endorsement deal that spawned 19 sellout collections; 18 of which debuted at London Fashion Week Women’s Collection.

Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford’s This Morning axe ‘was sparked by furious row over a Christmas bauble gift’

EAMONN Holmes and Ruth Langsford's axing from This Morning's Friday slot was sparked by a refusal to gift Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon a Christmas bauble, according to reports.

Veteran broadcaster Eamonn, 60, is said to have had an explosive clash with show editor Martin Frizell ahead of last December's General Election.

The Mail reports that Ms Sturgeon had proposed gifting the couple with a traditional decoration during an interview, with Frizell keen to reciprocate the gesture by getting Eamonn and Ruth to present the politician with a bespoke bauble.

But the idea was not welcomed by Eamonn, who claimed the mutual gift-giving wasn't in line with impartiality rules prior to an election.
