Rod Stewart and his son Sean have pleaded guilty to a charge of ‘simple battery’ related to an incident in the US on New Year’s Eve 2019.“No one was injured in the incident and a jury did not find Sir Rod Stewart guilty of the accusation”, the musician’s attorney Guy Fronstin tells CNN. “Instead, Sir Rod Stewart decided to enter a plea to avoid the inconvenience and unnecessary burden on the court and the public that a high profile proceeding would cause”.The incident occurred on 31 Dec 2019, when Stewart and various members of his family were refused entry to a children’s party at the Palm Beach Hotel in Florida.Video footage showed Sean Stewart push security guard Jesse Dixon before Rod punched him in the chest.
