Dundee United fear a covid-19 outbreak amongst their playing staff.The Tannadice outfit are believed to have at least two positive tests amongst their squad.Scottish Professional Football League chiefs are awaiting for more information ahead of this weekend’s clash with Rangers at Ibrox.It is understood that both positive tests were registered as lateral flows and the players will now need to do PCR tests and await the results.It is believed United’s players had their Christmas night in Newcastle at the weekend.The concern is that the new Omicron variant is spreading a lot quicker than its predecessors and has seen Governments step up restrictions in the fight against Covid-19.It leaves United with a major issue ahead of the Premiership
