Rangers have confirmed former player Graham Fyfe has passed away, aged 70.Born in Motherwell, the former winger made 89 appearances for the Ibrox club and formed part of their 1972 UEFA Cup Winners' Cup-winning squad.The Govan side beat Dynamo Moscow 3-2 in the final, with Derek Johnstone netting a brace.
Fyfe was an unused substitute.He made his first league appearance against Hearts in 1969 and scored 31 goals before his exit in 1976.Fyfe also featured for Dumbarton and Hibs before moving to the USA to play with Major Indoor Soccer League sides Pittsburgh Spirit and Cleveland Force.His career was brought to an end at St Louis Steamers.A Rangers statement reads: "Everyone at Rangers is today deeply saddened to hear of the death of former player Graham Fyfe."The thoughts of everyone at the football club are with Graham's family."Follow Lanarkshire Live Sport onTwitter via@LanLiveSport, like us onFacebookor find us onInstagramfor the latest sports news, pictures and video.
