Princess Mako of Japan is married! The niece of the Emperor Naruhito wed her her college sweetheart, commoner Kei Komuro, on Tuesday (October 26) in a subdued ceremony at the local ward office.

As the law in Japan requires a princess to leave the imperial family upon marriage to a commoner, Princess Mako has giving up her royal titles in order to marry Kei.
