Prestfest ready to rock as three days of live music set to bring South Ayrshire town alive

Prestwick this weekend.Thousands will flock to the town as venues throw open their doors to the 72-hour spectacular, which begins tomorrow (Friday).Prestfest returns after a one year lockdown absence with organisers pledging to deliver their “biggest and best” event yet.Twelve venues across the town – anchored by a live stage at Boydfield Gardens – will welcome music lovers of all ages.And there will be performers to suit all tastes as everything from rock to pop and acoustic to folk finds a home.Organiser Scott Russell had paid tribute to the town for pulling together to make the event possible.Scott, 43, told Ayrshire Live: “When it became clear that Covid restrictions were lifting, we spoke to the venues and they were up for making this.
