Glasgow radio host is in urgent need of a double lung transplant due to a scarring lung disease. Sunny Govan radio presenter Helen Ward - known as Helsbells - has received the tragic diagnosis of Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis - a condition that causes the lungs to become scarred and breathing to become difficult.
Our sister title Glasgow Live report that there are currently only two treatments available for IPF but both have lots of side effects that can't stop or reverse the scarring of the lungs.
