Police will form 'guard of honour' for funeral procession of much-loved PCSO

Police have now announced plans for his funeral and have welcomed residents to line the streets as the procession heads from his home in Slag Lane, Golbourne, towards St Thomas' Church.In a post on Facebook, an officer from GMP's Leigh, Atherton and Hindley team said the response to Mr Ratcliffe's death had been reassuring for his family.They said: "The family have taken great comfort in the all messages of condolence left and understand that people wish to pay their last respects on Wednesday."The funeral procession will take place on Wednesday, July 1, at around 10am with a full police.
