Police have released a description of three men they want to speak after a climber was injured by a falling rock in the Peak District over the Bank Holiday weekend.
The climber - a man in his 30s - was beginning an ascent on Bamford Edge in Hope Valley on Saturday (30 April) when he was hit by a boulder which had fallen from the top of the rock face.
He was taken to hospital with a suspected broken leg, which later turned out to be badly bruised. Mountain Rescue teams in Edale warned the incident could have proved fatal if the man had not been wearing a helmet as the rock connected with his head before landing on his leg.
