Police have issued a warning following reports of two suspicious men knocking on doors claiming to work for BT. Officers say suspects claim they are sub-contractors working on the street - and have offered to do work at people's homes in Radcliffe.

They are believed to be travelling in a white van labelled 'AK - RATES'. People are advised not to let anyone in their homes without first checking ID.

Residents can also check with the company the callers claim to be from - especially if people are unsure about the services on offer.
