Police appeal for information after man, 29, dies in Lanarkshire crash

Police are appealing for information following a horror crash on a Lanarkshire road where one man tragically died. The 29-year-old male was pronounced dead at the scene after his van collided with a car and another van.Emergency services raced to the scene on the A70, Ayr Road in Rigside at around 10am yesterday, January 10.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

The occupants of the Volkswagen van were uninjured, while a female passenger from the Nissan was taken to University Hospital Wishaw for treatment to a non-life-threatening injury.Police have informed the next of kin of the 29-year-old man who sadly died during the smash involving his Vauxhall van.

Sergeant Craig McDonald told Lanarkshire Live : “Our thoughts are with the man’s family and friends at this difficult time. "Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances which led to this incident and I would urge any witnesses who have not yet spoken to an officer to come forward.“We would also be keen to speak to anyone with dashcam or any other footage which could help our enquiries.“Anyone with information can call 101, quoting reference 0721 of 10 January, 2022.”And South Lanarkshire Council
