The leader of Perth and Kinross Council has revealed taxes will likely be increased and local services axed if the Scottish Government does not renege on its “unacceptable” £371 million real terms cut to funding.
All 32 council leaders in Scotland - including local leader Murray Lyle - have written to the first minister urging a meeting to resolve the dispute, which could lead to a near £10 million shortfall for PKC.
