Paul Cattermole's death was announced today by S Club 7's manager, in a short statement. They said that there were "no suspicious circumstances", as they confirmed he had died age 46.
The singer's tragic final Instragam post saw him share his excitement over his Eurovision Comic Relief appearance. S Club 7 had also recently announced plans for a 25th-anniversary reunion tour later this year.
In his last ever social update, dated March 16, a mere three weeks ago, Paul shared a sneak peek of a sketch that saw him and other celebs complete in the European musical extravaganza. In the clip, the judges (Norton, Lulu and Ryder) explained that they were "on the hunt" for the UK's next Eurovision entry. Lulu quipped: "You won't believe who's trying to get in on the action. "The camera cut to reveal the audition group, including Paul and Strictly finalist Fleur East.
