An opening date has been announced for Lanarkshire’s newest supermarket. Lidl will welcome customers to its newly-built Bellshill store for the first time on Thursday, February 10.

The company says it will be “the first of two new stores opening in North Lanarkshire this year” – as they prepare to begin construction work at their proposed new site in Airdrie.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

A total of 40 full- and part-time jobs are being created at the Bellshill branch, which becomes Lidl’s sixth in North Lanarkshire.
