New research could help you determine the difference between Omicron and a cold. Omicron became the main variant of Covid-19 in the UK in November 2021.
A month earlier, It was first detected in southern Africa and Hong Kong. Now findings from a new report in the Independent looked at how Omicron treats those who are fully vaccinated.
In the research from Norway, 111 of 117 guests from a party that had an Omicron outbreak were interviewed on 26 November 2021, with 89 per cent of the participants having had two Covid jags.Results showed that 66 had definite cases of Covid-19 as well as 15 possible cases.Research published in infectious disease and epidemiology journal Eurosurveillance stated that there were eight key symptoms displayed by the group of fully vaccinated partygoers.These symptoms were cough, fatigue, runny nose, headache, sore throat, fever, muscle pain and sneezing.
Coughing, fatigue and a runny nose were the most common among vaccinated individuals, with a fever and sneezing least reported.Public health experts also add nausea to this list of symptoms in vaccinated people who have contracted the Omicron variant.
