Scotland wilted in the Israeli sun and crashed out of the Euro Under 17s Finals after their second defeat of the tournament, despite an equaliser from Rangers starlet Rory Wilson.

Brian McLaughlin's side were hoping to bounce back after an opening game mauling by the Portuguese, but they struggled to adapt to the mid-afternoon 33 degrees heat in the Ramat Gan and could have no complaints about the outcome.

Wilson had given them hope with an against the run-of-play leveller, but they conceded less than a minute after the restart when Celtic 's Magnus Mackenzie netted an unfortunate own goal and the Scots kids will now have only pride to play for when they face Sweden in the final game on Monday.

McLaughlin made three changes from the opening day defeat to Portugal with Motherwell's Lennon Miller, Dundee United's Rory MacLeod and Dylan Lobban from Aberdeen all included.
