Nicola Sturgeon has announced that a further 244 people have tested positive for coronavirus in Scotland in the last 24 hours.
The Scottish Government figures confirmed no people died in the last 24 hours, with the death toll sitting at 2,499. The total number of confirmed cases in Scotland now sits at 22,706 since the start of the pandemic in late March.
The number of patients with coronavirus being treated in hospital stands at 259 and 7 remain in intensive care. The latest figures come as lockdown rules in Scotland are set to be tightened again tomorrow amid a rise in the number of confirmed coronavirus cases.
From Monday, people will be banned from meeting in groups of more than six from two households.The recent spike means the country.
