Airdrie’s community assessment hub for Covid-19 is to be stood down from Monday as NHS Lanarkshire moves to concentrate the service at one facility in Hamilton.The health board’s triage service, where medical staff deal with all patient phone calls referred by NHS 24 and determine when a face-to-face appointment is needed, will remain based at Airdrie community health centre at present but will also later switch to the South Lanarkshire location.It will means that the area of the Graham Street centre currently being used for coronavirus assessments will be reinstated, and the staff redeployed there will return to their usual roles and workplaces.NHS Lanarkshire’s two Covid-19 community assessment centres were established three months ago.
