New £53m 121 home scheme in Salford is complete

Work on a £53million co-living development in Salford is complete. Sustainable homes landlord ForLiving says its development at Dock 5 in the riverside suburb of Ordsall is the largest private rented scheme in the North West with 121 apartments and townhouses on the market.

The scheme, which is made up of three blocks ranging from four to eight storeys on a 2.8-acre site on Ordsall Lane, has been completed on time and on budget, despite 'various logistical and supply chain challenges faced during the pandemic', says ForLivng.

The final phase of the development includes luxury facilities including a private cinema room and state-of-the-art gym. Mark Edwards, strategic lead at ForLiving, said: “Demand for quality homes at rents people can afford in Salford and Manchester has exploded in the past five years, so we knew how important it was to stay on track.
