A new £10.4m "state-of-the-art" rehabilitation centre is set to open at Salford Royal Hospital next year.The Bevan Intermediate Care Unit will be located on council-owned land in Stott Lane next to the new major trauma centre which is set to be built soon.Salford City Council bosses revealed this week that construction of the new hospital building and car park should be finished by September 2021.Coun Gina Reynolds, lead member for adult services, health and wellbeing, said she is "fully supportive" of the scheme.She said: “It’s a fantastic building with first class facilities which will mean we have a really excellent rehabilitation centre within the city."I think the location is ideal because it’s close to the major trauma centre."If we.
