NBCUniversal CEO Jeff Shell, who oversees NBC Entertainment, Universal Filmed Entertainment Group, Telemundo and NBCUniversal International, has tested positive for the novel coronavirus. "I recently have been feeling under the weather and just learned that I have tested positive for COVID-19.

Although the virus has been tough to cope with, I have managed to work remotely in L.A. and am improving every day," Shell said in a memo Thursday obtained by The Hollywood Reporter.

Shell, 54, recently took over control of the studio from Steve Burke. While praising studio staff for having to work remotely amid the pandemic threat, Shell touted NBCUniversal having committed $150 million across its film, TV and parks businesses "to help our employees.
