Carrie Budoff Brown is leaving Politico and heading to NBC News, where she’ll work on expanding the reach and impact of the “Meet the Press” brand as its senior vice president.
The “Meet the Press” franchise includes not only Chuck Todd’s Sunday show on NBC and daily MSNBC offering, but podcasts, streaming and events like a film festival, too.
As NBC News’ own Dylan Byers pointed out Tuesday, television viewership is in decline, so embracing new mediums and audiences is the key to brand survival.
