Levenshulme, said she was walking her daughter, Oona, home from school on Thursday (September 24).As Oona was riding her bike along the pavement on a street in Levenshulme, the passenger door of a van opened and hit her.Sophie says her daughter was sent 'flying' into a wall.Thankfully, Oona only suffered cuts and bruises."She’s a little bit shook up but she’s a brave little soldier,” Sophie told the Manchester Evening News. "She only came off with some abrasions to her arm and her head was alright because she was wearing a helmet."She was back on the bike within a few hours.” Sophie, who also has a two-year-old son, says she has noticed an increase in cars parking on pavements since schools returned.“I didn’t realise how bad it really was.
