Wigan toddler have described their 'sheer relief' after she beat cancer for the second time in less than two years. Ruby Rose Scotson, aged three, has been fighting in a long-term battle against leukaemia for 20 months.
The Platt Bridge tot was initially admitted to the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital on May 14 2019, after she falling severely ill, just weeks before her second birthday.
After several tests, Ruby was tragically diagnosed with juvenile myelomonocytic leukaemia and inflammatory lung disease.She spent months in a critical condition at the intensive care unit, before receiving a life-saving bone marrow transplant at the end of August.Get regular updates from Wigan direct to your email inbox with the free MyWigan.
