Mum of Scots murder victim makes heartbreaking new plea to help catch killer

A year on from the murder of her son, a grieving mother says she has not given up hope police will catch his killer. Phyllis Ferns is pleading for people to come forward with information about the murder of her son Tony Ferns who was murdered aged 33 in Thornliebank, East Renfrewshire.

On Thursday, April 18, 2019, Tony was sitting in an Audi A3 on Crerar Street, when a man approached and violently assaulted him.

Despite his injuries, Tony managed to make it home to Roukenburn Street, where paramedics fought to save his life.
