MSP welcomes free bus travel scheme for young Clydesdale residents

Clydesdale MSP Mairi McAllan has welcomed the announcement of free bus travel for young constituents being introduced at the start of next year.

The SNP politician reckons the move to allow people under the age of 22 to travel freely is a huge boost to more remote villages in the local area and will allow better opportunities for work and education.

The Scottish Government confirmed the free bus travel scheme will be extended to young people in Scotland from January 31., 2022, expecting to benefit around 930,000 people across the country.
