Preston North End are on the hunt for a new manager after former Hamilton Accies coach Frankie McAvoy was sacked last night.And Motherwell boss Graham Alexander is among the early contenders being touted as his replacement at the English Championship club.Alexander made over 400 appearances for Preston during his career over two spells and the former Scotland international is well-respected for his work in England's lower leagues with Fleetwoood Town, Scunthorpe United and Salford City.The 50-year-old was also breifly in joint-caretaker charge of Preston with David Unsworth between December 2011 and January 2012 while he was a player, winning two games from five.And the following season he hung up his boots and was appointed the club's head
