Motherwell chairman Jim McMahon has revealed the Fir Park board voted against the SPFL resolution on an independent inquiry insisting the evidence did not meet the threshold for an enquiry.
Last week a 200-page dossier of evidence was put forward by Rangers to clubs as they called for an independent investigation.On Tuesday clubs voted on the proposals at an emergency general meeting, with the resolution comfortably defeated.A total of 13 clubs voted in favour, with a margin of 75 per cent needed in each division to pass the resolution.
In the Premiership, where nine clubs would have been required to vote in favour, a total of four clubs supported the resolution.
