Motherwell manager this afternoon as he outlined his vision to bring some consistency back to the club. The Steelmen are on a run of 10 games without a win and the new man at the helm is determined to put an end to that run tomorrow with a debut win over St Mirren in Paisley.

Alexander, who takes the reins after Stephen Robinson's resignation last week, spoke about the need for the current squad to prove themselves to him after a string of dismal results - but insisted there was no need for major surgery at the club.

He also addressed the need for the squad to push for improvements at both ends of the pitch - and 'Well fans know that has to start with a big game against the Buddies, as they try to haul themselves out of the relegation zone..
