East Ayrshire schools. Mossgiel Farm, in Mauchline, will be supplying their milk — which only comes in re-usable packaging — to pupils throughout the region by installing milk vending machines for youngsters to get a taste of the good stuff without adding to plastic waste.The new move will see the council’s single use plastic footprint reduced by 400,000 bottles, lids and labels per year.Mossgiel’s Bryce Cunningham, who now employs 22 workers since launching in 2015, said: “Away back in the early days there was a few things I was determined to do and one of those was trying to get local milk back into schools.“It identified the one place where there’s a lot of plastic used because every child has got an individual 200ml tub of milk that’s.
