23 alongside headliners Red Hot Chili Peppers and Ms. Lauryn Hill, along with Conan Gray, Stray Kids, Jung Kook and many more.
A representative for Megan succinctly confirmed the news in the following statement: “Due to an unforeseen scheduling conflict, Megan Thee Stallion will no longer be available to perform at the 2023 Global Citizen Festival.” Megan’s name was not present on recent announcements from the festival and had disappeared from the website, but her team maintained that it was an error.
She will appear at tonight’s MTV Video Music Awards alongside Cardi B, to give “Bongos” its live debut. Many online speculators are assuming Megan’s leave is an indication of her possible presence at Beyoncé’s Houston show in Texas which is scheduled to take place the same day as Global Citizen, though no such thing has been confirmed.
